Privacy Policy

GuessWise · Last updated: April 15, 2026

Overview

GuessWise is a word puzzle game built for fun and privacy. Your game progress, settings, and local data are stored on your device. We do not use them to build a profile of you, and we do not sell your data.

To understand how the app is used and to improve stability and features, GuessWise sends limited, non-identifying analytics events over the internet (see Analytics below). This is separate from your saved gameplay content.

What we do not collect

GuessWise does not collect:

• No account creation or sign-up is required.
• No access to your contacts, messages, or personal files.
• We do not upload your in-game words, custom notes, or full local progress history for analytics.
• We do not use your gameplay data for advertising profiling.

Analytics

We use Google Firebase Analytics to collect aggregated usage and technical information that helps us improve the experience—for example, which screens or flows are used, coarse success/error outcomes, and generic feature-related parameters. These events do not include your private notes or personal documents.

Firebase may process device and app-instance identifiers and standard diagnostics according to Google’s policies. You can learn more about Firebase at Firebase privacy and security.

Data Storage

Gameplay progress, achievements, and settings are stored locally on your device using on-device storage (MMKV / AsyncStorage). That data does not leave your device except when you explicitly export or share it, or when limited analytics events are sent as described above.

Data Export & Import

GuessWise allows you to export your game data as a JSON file and import data from a JSON file. These operations are initiated entirely by you and use your device's native share sheet. Your backup file is not sent to 2411Labs servers; it only goes where you choose (for example email or cloud storage). This is separate from routine analytics described above.

Permissions

GuessWise requests only the minimum permissions necessary:

• Internet – Used for Firebase Analytics and optional ad/network features where applicable.
• Storage (Android 9 and below) – Used for importing/exporting backup files on older Android versions.

Children's Privacy

GuessWise is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Analytics, as described above, is limited to product-improvement usage data and does not include your private notes or account-style profiles.
